SITES is the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, the largest traveling exhibition service in the world. Our acronym implies our mission: to extend the collections, research, and museum expertise of the Smithsonian Institution to “sites” across the nation and beyond.
From our offices near the Smithsonian Castle on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., SITES organizes and circulates exhibitions of all shapes and sizes on the arts, sciences, and humanities. Since our first exhibition went on the road in 1952, SITES has traveled thousands of exhibitions for the education and enjoyment of museum-goers in every state and in several foreign countries.
SITES, MoMS truly loves and adores your blog! You are the coolest organization in the universe.
